Let My People Go!

After reading the first four chapters in 'Mightier Than The Sword', I have decided to focus on Abolition: Turning America’s Conscience against the Sins of Slavery for my first blog project. Being African American, I want to begin by stating that I have an extreme lack of knowledge as to where 'my people' struggle truly began! This is way deeper then Martin Luther King Jr. or Malcolm X because what occurred during the slavery era set the platform for what those men fought for during there time along with the people who are still fighting today. So as I begin to educate and formulate myself on this topic, I hope that we all can have a better understanding, knowlegde and respect for the struggle!
